interesting
so, i made more videos with themarine, so be sure to visit our channel.
also, i'm leaving for a week of computer camp on sunday. yeah. i'm hoping i'll learn a lot.
so, i don't have a lot to say. i got a fortune cookie that said i would be lucky and should take a chance, so i went into dev-c++ to see if i could get lucky on a project, and ended up searching for how to make a template. i ran into an article on how to install glut for c++. it didn't help. pretty exciting.
well, have faith my life will get interesting. on the 11th i'm going to school, so just stick with me until them.

false advertising
they just clutter language. every euphamism is like a piece of tissue paper over the item to be sold; it dims the idea of the item and blurs its details to hide the bullcrap they're trying to sell.
now, i'm not saying it's the salesmens' fault; i know some great salesmen. salesmen are cool. it's these advertisers who feel like the less you can clearly grasp about a product, the better off the commercials are.
examples: let's take a simple item...a bar of soap. that's simple. now, if the advertisers just say, "it's a reliable, clensing, long-lasting bar that leaves you feeling fresh," i would be happy. but no; someone had to invent something to complicate the matter... soap scum. doesn't exist. i can swear on a copy of, "relational calculus for dummies" that it does not exist. seriously. when you use soap, i am 100 percent sure that you are not leaving some invisible substance on your skin after you rinse off. you heard it from me. no such thing. it's just something they fabricated out of thin air to get you to buy their soap.
yep. most of these commercial slurs are bull. your counter is NOT still dirty after you clean it, kids do NOT prefer juicy juice (fact: you can only legally call something fruit juice (ei, grape juice) unless it is 100 percent juice. "juicy" is not a fruit. juicy juice is not pure), and fiber one bars do NOT taste like chocolate (they do taste pretty good, though).
so, keep your eyes out. use critical thinking. don't let these small commercial buisnesses ruin your life with dumb products you don't need.
and again, salesmen are cool. i have never heard or heard of a salesman lie. ever.

tired
yesterday i was tired. that's all i can say. today i got up, took a fast run, and feel great, but yesterday, i was tired.
very tired. themarine and i stayed up all night, hyped on caffine and sugar. the residual caffine kept me up for that days workout and an hour afterwards, but after it wore off (and it wore off all at once), i was very, very tired.
that was unfortunate, because themarine and i had made several videos i now need to sync and create. this is a major pain because we had to take the audio on my old computer and everything else on my new computer.
once i'm done, i'll post another link to our channel.

bordom
well, it's a little early in the day for me to be writing about it, but there is little else i feel like doing.
i'm bored. due to my proving of a scientific quantifyable discovery; if you watch tv for an hour without sidetracking yourself, then turn it off and continue sitting around in a quiet, tv-free house, you will be bored. maybe it only works on me. sigh.
well, i guess i should tell you about something i probably should have quite a long time ago. i'm trying to get a girlfriend. sound familiar? this explains the phone call i made a few blogs ago. speaking of which, i haven't gotten a return call. dirty harry (who shares this quest's aim) and i figured i should call again, but something tells me i'll get the same result: answering machine.
anyway, i don't think i can do it. just...can't. i've had many dumb ambitions like this, and i'm experienced to know when something is reasonably far-fetched. programming a fully-responsive artificial intelligence isn't, but me getting a girlfriend is.
if i told dirty harry about this, he would just tell me to "sack up" and call. but, dirty harry is...intrusive...when it comes to getting a girlfriend. somehow, i seem to have a better sense of how to get a girl to like you, which unlikely according to him, doesn't require preparing a full speech in intention to solidify a mutual intra-friendship. (boy, do i have too much time on my hands!)
that's it. i wish i had something else about which to blog, except for the fact that i'm going to my grandfather's house this afternoon.
on that note, i just noticed something...does it seem to you that a "grandfather" is older than a "grandpa?" am i the only one who sees this?

food
seriously, this last week, we had no food at all. i had to eat some stale oat mixture my mom made eighty years ago. i had to eat fruit. let me type this agian, just to convey this to you: i had to eat fruit. FRUIT. dead serious. it was horrible.
but today, mom took me to a store to buy food, which made me happy; at least i don't have to eat *shudder* fruit.
after that, jack rabbit came over to make yet another skit. we came up with a pretty uncreative idea, and didn't even end up filming it. we did make a logo, though. we now have a logo. great.
although we didn't have to worry about camera angles, but it was a pretty stressful meet for me, because when dirty harry messeged me on skype giving jack rabbit a spiteful message from m'obius, i had to convince jack rabbit m'obius didn't mean it, simultaniously telling him m'obius was right and telling dirty harry to SHUT UP IM WITH JACK RABBIT. gasp.
by the way, keep watching the freeradicaIs vids. (jack rabbit is the blond one)

Algorithms
but, today was somewhat interesting day. i was awakened by my father to be brought to his office. upon arriving, i programmed a program in c++ that gives the minimum amount of coins and bills that are worth the entered price. programming anything in c++ is a major victory for me, so that was fun.
also while i was at the office, a three-book set was delivered: "the Art of Computer Programming" by donald knuth. no typo. knuth.
while i'm excited to read the book, i've been working on some stuff with my dad. math stuff. over two large, delicious camerone burritos. father-son time; it was the best time i've had in days.
i really enjoy reading my new books. i've only read a few pages of the first one, and i''ve already learned a lot about algorithms.
I've also discovered a secret dislike of the word "actress." if you preogram, your a programmer. if you teach, you're a teacher. so, if you act, shouldn't you be an actor.

the two guys who found a dog
yesterday i made another skit with Jack Rabbit: the two guys who found a dog. I admit, it wasn't as good as our second one, the guy who made a bet to build a house. we made up the plot quickly and rashly, so we did a relitively slipshod job. i personally don't think we gave it enough practice, and the camerawork was arranged at the last minute. and we didn't make a lot of consideration to it, so our positioning was uninspired and uncreative. please watch it anyway, because we still gave it a lot of work.
you might not notice when and if you watch the movie, but the dog really hated being there. it was totally and entirely there against its will. poor dog.
today was boring, so i don't think i should even bother mentioning it.
except, of course, the phone call i made...to ask a friend to the movies...and he didn't return the call...sorry-she didn't return the call...yeah...you'll probably hear more about that later...
so, i guess that's it. not including the intramagnatudial mathematical conversation i had with my dad before dinner. i enjoyed that. i do like thinking.

downstairs
oh! besides a few friends of mom coming over and taking her to ashland for a week. that was it.
and, i got to stay up really late and sleep downstairs. that was it!
and today, i'm spending the day with my sister. i did have an accomplishment that brightened my concience for the day dramatically; i completed a game called "battle balls." it is, actually, very addictive. and, it was bery hard to program, involving trigonometry and very many loops and scrolls through memory allocation. if you see the game, you would probably not be as proud as i am of it, but i'm the only one who knows how difficult and mind-numbing it was to code.
i hope my dad will congradulate me for my efforts as much as i am now.
yeah. boring day. no insights, no near-death experiences, and only one major accomplishment. sorry guys.
well, hopefully tomorrow will be more exciting. maybe i can get together with jack rabbit to make another skit.

guys and gals
i just have a few things to say about the "which gender is smarter" arguement.
firstly, i think that some guys are smarter than some gals and some gals are smarter than some guys. that's it. i'm neutral on this arguement.
but, i think i have an obligation to shed a little more light on the subject. here are a few simple opinions to help you choose a side:
the arguement would be simpler if we understood each other. the two genders are very different. for instance; women think the nazis will come (or something) if your floor isn't clean. and, men think that if something comes in contact with water it is automatically clean. different.
we have albert einstein, bill gates, isaac newton, mark twain, and john lennon. who do you have, madam curie? give me a break.
i had a really good arguement, but i forgot it. i'm sure it will come back to me after my five-hour tv-watching spree.
have you watched "desparate houswives?" have you??
then again, we're the ones making all the beer commercials.
it's a pretty difficult arguement. i'm sure we all know the real solution, but don't want to say it. maybe.

M'obius
the rest of my day, however, was not. i had a pretty good day.
i got to go to M'obius's house today, and dirty harry was there two. it was fun seeing and talking to my friends whom i haven't seen in person in a little while.
which brings up an interesting point. M'obius, like many of my other friends, has a confusing, conveluded history.
when i first met him, he was a slacker, but i grew to be a friendly aquaintence. however, he has quite a back story of dishonesty.
he owed me money for a long time at one point. he betrayed me once. we started a band together. we were good friends in the past. he prank called me recently. and, to make it more confusing, all of these events are in a dazzilingly criss-crossed order. what a dilemma!
finally, he is currently trying to re-initiate a friendship with me. hmm. i have something to think about.

The Guy Who Made a Bet to Build a House
today was a very exciting day. Firstly, I managed to download a few algorithm lectures onto my ipod. yet, when i went to the gym, i couldn't listen to them! that was enraging. it has been sorted out (i needed new earbuds), so i'll be able to listen to my lectures at the gym. i am literally excited.
today was another day of advanced kung fu, and we did some training. in risk of sounding arrogant, i pwned. that was kind of fun.
but, most exciting of all, Jack rabbit and I made a new skit! it's called "the guy who made a bet to build a house" and is available on our youtube page: FREERADICALS

dog eat dog
however, i would like to tell you about something i was thinking about last night. i was thinking about Big Bruno's two dogs, which have incomprehensible size differences. looking at them is like comparing a tribble and bigfoot.
anyway, it got me thinking; these two dogs have roughly the same intelligence level and can achieve roughly the same internal brain conclusions and inferences, although they have extremely different size and immensely different personalities and demeanors.
so, how can two dogs with immesurable size differences be capable of the same internal, mental actions?
food for thought.

tahoe - part 3
today i came home from tahoe, but first, we went to another beach.
this beach was more rocky, and i inferred the sand was a different color.
last time i went to the beach, i wore decent swimming clothes. this time, i wore real clothes, thinking i'd just sit on the rocks and hang out with big bruno and his brother. however, one thing led to another, and i went into the water, resulting in my realization that the water was very cold; yet not as cold as yesterday.
then something frighteneing happened. after some swimming, sliding, climbing, and panting with big bruno and his brother's friend, i noticed something that frightened me. i was shivering maddly, even after i cooled off. this wouldn't have been nearly as frightening if i hadn't remembered when my mother was horribly sick (hospital-state sick), it was after uncontrollable shuddering and shaking.
later, i realized i was scaring myself. i found our i was just cold without feeling cold. it was very frightening and tramatizing at the time, though.
i'm home now, just to get beaten in chess my father, reflecting on my now concluded trek.

Tahoe - part 2
when i woke up that morning, i was greeted by big bruno, who sat next to me as we ate muffins and stared fruitlessly at his computer.
however, our slow morning took a jump when we headed to a beach in tahoe lake.
this, my friends, was the most cold i have ever been in my life.
the water was like liquid ice (wait, it was liquid ice!) but colder. after big bruno found a massive, floating log, i slowly pushed closer to the center of the lake. although i was enjoying myself, i was painfully cold. then and there i noticed the bug bites were the very least of my problems.
fortunately, i dried off and my reverberic shivering slowed to a stop.
the rest of the day was slow and relaxed, besides for a game of mini-golf in which i beat everyone by far. i have no idea how i pulled off my hole-in-ones; i think it might have been something relating to subconcious confidence. the residual victorious happiness declined, yet expanded when i became the undefeated champion at chess against big bruno's brother and big bruno's brother's friend. my winning streak didn't stop the next morning.

Tahoe - part 1
sorry; i haven't been posting for a few days. That's because i went to tahoe with my friend big bruno! it was a lost of fun. hopefully my few words with live up to the fun of the trip.
the drive was quite-insuferable. i was very hungry and very bored. luckily, it wasn't nearly as long as some past drives in which i partook.
when we arrived, we unpacked, had dinner, and went golfing. mini-golfing, that is. it was very fun, but i was in far last.
that night was somewhat uncomfortable, for i was being eaten and bitten by bugs. this is one of my least favorite things in the universe; misquitos are probably my tiny flying rivals. on top of that, my annoying bites were coupled with a disturbing dream involving bug bites-lots of bug bites. this dream haunted me for the first half of saturday.
this is part one of three for my trip to tahoe.

the skit
well, in "yesterday's blog" i forgot to tell you about another important accomplishment: i made a skit with Jack Rabbit. he kept telling me he had a "vision" and i shouldn't ruin it. whatever. i had most of the funny lines.
anyway, today i'm going to Jack Rabbit's house to actually record the skit. I'm excited. my character is very fun to be.
once we get the skit on youtube, i'll give you guys the link, so you can see it.
i have advanced kung fu again today. hopefully it will turn out as painless as the last lesson. remember tuesday's lesson? it actually wasn't so bad. i hope the same can be said about this lesson. cross your fingers.
i read a thing about handicapped people yesterday, and it got me thinking today. i don't have anything against handicapped people, but really; how is it there is a disproportionate amount of handicapped sports heros? it seems as if there are more handicapped sports heros than non-handicapped sports heros. on top of that, there are more non-handicapped people than handicapped people! if you're having trouble following me, think of it this way: handicapped people like to be the stars of sports. it's all the rage; handicapped people are beating the odds. what's going on?

yesterday's blog
anyway, yesterday was a good day. i went with my sister to see the new movie, "karate kid." it was pretty cool. of course, it was a karate/kung fu movie, so i had to show her a couple of fun moves i learned in class.
I still haven't been on my programming. yesterday i managed to write a few lines of a game, but the lines were basically variable declaration and auxilery screen management. in other words, i made the frame, and now i have to paint the picture. not a great accomplishment. maybe i'll get to some dos routines later.
new favorite word: later.
my biggest accomplishment yesterday was the song i wrote. yes, i wrote a song.

advanced kung fu san soo
the two friends that were in kung fu with me are Dirty Harry and Little T. Unfortunately, dirty harry has been off kung fu due to complications and Lil' T has moved to the advanced class. that means i've been doing kung fu by myself. it's been very lonely. luckily, i'm moving to the advanced class today, so i at least get to be with Lil' T. The down side is, I have to learn more of the forms (memorize more). this doesn't sound like much, but it's kind of a big deal, because i have a lot of trouble just practicing the non-advanced form portion.
lately i've been really tired; i simply haven't been getting enough sleep. that coupled with more practicing and a more strenuous kung fu class, it's sure to be a drowsy day. i even rested/slept for an hour. sigh.

a few random thoughts
- Forrest Gump once said, "Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you're gonna get." hmmm. That's a good one. but, I've been thinking; what if - just a theory - you open a box of chocolates and - get this - get...a bunch...of chocolates! i think i do know what i'm gonna get.
- Walt Disney (notice the German name) is a popular maker of many charactars and movies. But, if you've seen "the Lion King" and have seen the march the wierd minions march...it's exactly like the nazi march. ??? what is he trying to tell us?
- what's so great about bald eagles? everybody loves them. why? what's so special about them? They're kind of overrated. Seriously, what is so great about them? are they really rare or something? i just don't get it.

living 1337
Ha! I really had you fooled, didn't I? Today wasn't boring. After my morning run, I got to go to Big Bruno's house! It's a great day for swimming and Big Bruno has a pool, so I didn't even bother taking a shower after my run.
Of course, I left at the last minute, making myself a little late. I was too busy playing piano. There's something strange between me and the ivory keys; I feel like I can never get tired of playing. Some days, including today, I just grab my laptop, load up some digital sheet music, and let my fingers lazily roll across the keys like tiny rolling pins. Sometimes I just sit on the bench and expell musical tones from fluxuating accuracy.
I still feel guilty about not programming. I've been off the DOS lately, and I feel bad about it. While my dad and I still have mathematical rows, I feel as if it's my obligation as a smart teenager to program computers.
